Men and women charged with crimes involving a firearm will receive testimony about the impact of gun violence and information about resources available to them. The goal of the program is to empower individuals on the verge of incarceration to live an alternative lifestyle free from violence and narcotics.

We ask that you arrive no later than 8:30 to sign-in.
Metro Police South Precinct, Community Room (5101 Harding Place; Nashville, TN 37211). When entering through the front doors, the Community Room is on right-hand side of the first floor.
Call Nashville Dismas House at (615) 297-9287 between 9:00am and 5:00pm - the registration process will take about five minutes. If the phone is not answered, leave a message with your name, phone number, and purpose for calling. You must pre-register for the class - there will be NO on-site registration.
During registration, please inform the Dismas staff member if you require an interpreter or any other accommodations so proper arrangements can be made ahead of time.
$70.00 (Refreshments Included.) The entire registration fee must be paid prior to the start of the program. You may pay over the phone by providing credit/debit card information during the registration process; or, you may register and pay on our website. You may also pay on-site, the day of the class, using credit/debit card, money order, or cash - NO personal checks will be accepted.
Do not pay registration fee if you have not already registered over the phone. If you pay the fee but do not call (615) 297-4511 to first complete the registration proces, you have not registered for the class.
Conditions for Completing the Class
- You must provide your driver's license, State ID, or other form of legal photo identification
- You must arrive on time and stay for the entire program - a Certificate of Completion will be issued at the conclusion of the program. Participants who leave early or do not stay for the entire class will not receive a certificate.
If, for any reason, it is deemed necessary to cancel Violence Interrupted on it's scheduled date, you will be informed by email or text. We will make every effort to give as much notice as possible.
